Justine (Mestichelli) Medeiros has produced several short documentary films for her company, Midair Rose Productions: Sailing the Star of India, Sailing Heritage, and Friends of Independence. Mona Lisa Is Missing is her first feature length documentary film. Her career has spanned 40 years of diverse professional experiences including: educator, freelance journalist, grant writer and editor as well as a lifelong commitment to volunteerism. She owned her own publishing business, Hubbell Medeiros Productions, in Philadelphia, PA. She has been married to writer/director, Joe Medeiros (her business partner) for 41 years and has two children, Justin and Julie Anne Medeiros, both working professionals in the entertainment industry.
A Hollywood television comedy writer by trade, but a filmmaker by vocation, Joe Medeiros spent 22 years writing and creating comedy segments for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, 16 of those years, serving as the show's headwriter. Joe has covered four Olympics, six Presidential Conventions as well as numerous awards shows from the Emmys to the Grammys. He is also the creator of Jay Leno's signature piece Jaywalking. In 1995, Joe and his wife Justine Mesichelli Medeiros launched their own production company, Midair Rose Productions, (a name with is simply another way of pronouncing his surname-MEDEIROS). Joe has served as creative consultant for shows on Nickelodeon, Discovery ID and TLC. He has directed number of short documentaries and an award-winning feature Mona Lisa Is Missing. Joe has appeared as an expert on the Mona Lisa theft on Ovation TV, Smithsonian Channel and Channel 5 in London. He also co-authored a joke book for kids with Jay Leno. He has also written comedy material for Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and for the bi-annual Garden of Laughs charity event at Madison Square Garden in New York City, hosted by actor Steve Schirripa of The Sopranos and Blue Bloods.
